A report emerged a few minutes ago that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was involved in an accident where his vehicle allegedly somersaulted.
The presidency has however issued a statement almost immediately debunking the accident and insisting that the presidential aspirant was not involved in an accident.
The official communication clarified that he ordered his convoy to stop and assist a lone accident victim in a vehicle plying the same route as him.
He is said to have visited Owo to condole with families of the victims of Sunday’s terrorist attack on a Catholic Church.
On his way to the airport, he came across the accident which obviously just happened and helped get help to transport the injured driver to the Airforce Base Hospital.

@NGRPresident CLARIFICATION: Vice President @ProfOsinbajo was not involved in an accident. On his way to the Airport, en-route to Owo, Ondo State on a condolence visit, his convoy stopped to assist the lone victim of a car accident. Victim has been transported to Airforce Base Hospital.
