Nigeria’s Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima was in Cot d’Ivoire to show solidarity with the Super Eagles during their match with South Africa’s Bafana Bafana.
After the Super Eagles defeated South Africa to qualify for the AFCON final, Shettima was seen celebrating with them.
Nigeria defeated South Africa on penalties in the semi-final clash at the Stade de la Bouake on Wednesday, February 7, to advance to the final stage.
Super Eagles scored four of their penalties while Bafana Bafana missed two of theirs.
The match was decided on penalties after 120 minutes of football ended 1-1 with both nations scoring in the second half.
After the game, Kashim Shettima and former Super Eagles superstar, Kanu Nwankwo were filmed celebrating with the Super Eagles squad.
