Kellie Chauvin, wife of the Minneapolis police murderer of George Floyd, has filed for divorce.
The ex-beauty queen, filed for a divorce Friday from her husband of 10 years, the same day that he was charged with the killing of the unarmed black man.
44-year-old Dereck Chauvin was arrested and charged for 3rd degree murder and manslaughter and then slammed with a $500,000 bail.
Expressing her feelings for Floyd, Kellie insists that her “utmost sympathy lies with his family, with loved ones and with everyone grieving this tragedy.”
According to the former Mrs Minnesota, she is devastated for the deceased’s family. Derek snuffed life out of his victim after a Deli supermarket attended called the cops on him for allegedly presenting a fake 20-dollar bill. Sadly, the allegation was later found to be untrue.
Scared for her family, Kellie Chauvin Wife of the police murderer, has requested protection for her children, elderly parents and extended family during this difficult time.
Derek Chauvin was filmed on Monday, suffocating George Floyd by pressing his knee down on his neck, on a concrete pavement. The evil lasted for 8 minutes, 46 seconds in spite of the fact that George Floyd did not resist arrest.
When Floyd became unresponsive, he was taken to the hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
The incident has sparked violent protests, arson and looting across the US.
On her part, Mrs Chauvin has had a forgery related issue. She is reported to have presented a $42 check at a grocery store in February 2005 before she got married to Derek Chauvin.
For 5 months, letters were served her to pay up the amount due. She ignored the letters until criminal a complaint was filed against her forcing her to redeem the check due the grocery store. The charge was subsequently dropped.
