Nigeria’s Minister of State for Labour and Employment, and Spokesperson for APC 2023 Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo, (SAN) has come under attack online for promoting fake news about the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
Keyamo, took to his Twitter page to share a report alleging that Obi has agreed to clear the path for the emergence of the 2023 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
He went on to mock the ‘Obident movement’, saying that the former Governor of Anambra State was taking them to nowhere.
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria wrote: “We told the OBIdient soldiers that their ‘hero’ was taking them to nowhere; taking them for a ride of the century and for political 419! We laugh! We are ahead of them!“
The narrative is considered fake news especially by Obi’s supporters, a scenario that earned Keyamo several backlashes on Twitter with many regretting that his assertion is not expected of a lawyer of his status.

While reeling out reasons why Atiku would not function effectively as President, Keyamo noted that was more qualified than the former Vice President with his pedigree as chief executive of a state and the successes he recorded in the corporate world.
