Festus Keyamo, the Minister of State for Labour and Employment of Nigeria who was also appointed as the spokesperson for the Tinubu-Shettima presidential campaign council has denied reports that President Muhammadu Buhari called for his removal.
Reports emerged on Monday morning that President Buhari and members of the Aso Rock cabal allegedly called for his removal as the spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council.
The report cited his continuous de-marketing the Buhari-lead administration.
It was alleged that the decision hinged its claim on the assumption that Keyamo was a ‘loose cannon who is daily de-marketing the administration as a failed government.
In an interview with Channels TV, Keyamo stated that Nigerians are hungry and wants a new government that would assuage their pains.
Reacting, Keyamo on his Twitter page said the news was fake.
”Very funny fake news. When people feel uncomfortable with your uncompromising defence of your mandate, they promote such fake news to achieve a purpose.
”The opposition think they can plant stories to destabilise our ranks. This is the height of the panic mode they find themselves.”
