Kidnappers of Greenfield University Students Make Fresh Demands

News - Women's Perspective

The kidnappers of Greenfield University students have made fresh demands on the parents of the captives.

They had initially demanded N800 million to set the students free but the families and government could not raise the ransom.

This infuriated the kidnappers, causing them to kill 5 of the students within one week of abduction.

Sani Idris Jalingo, alias Baleri who is alleged to be the mastermind of the kidnapping gang demanded N100 million and 10 motorbikes last week after threatening to kill the remaining students if their demands were not met.

The kidnappers seem to have reviewed their demand and given up killing the remaining students. Yesterday, Monday, 10th of May, they allegedly contacted the families of the students individually to demand N10 million for each captive.

One of the students’ parents said that “They called us today (Monday) and told me that if I pay N10 million today, my sister will be released today.”
