News - Women's Perspective

Squadron leader Nurudeen Popoola, of the Nigeria Air Force, who was kidnapped in December last year, has been released.

Reports received on Saturday say that the Airforce officer is currently receiving medical treatment in an undisclosed hospital.

Popoola was abducted along with his wife, Ganiyat Olawale-Popoola, and one of their cousins, Abdulmumuny Folaranmi at their residence within National Eye Centre Quarters, Mando, Kaduna.

A family member had earlier in February this year, appealed to the concerned authorities to ensure the release of the kidnapped victims.

The Air Force officer was however released after an undisclosed amount of ransom was paid.

However, the kidnappers are yet to release hid wife and cousin.
