Kogi Chief Judge Dies of Covid19

Kogi State Chief Judge, Nasir Ajanah is reported to have died of COVID19 at the Gwagwalada Isolation Centre in Abuja.

Ajanah’s demise is the second high profile casualty of the dreaded disease in Kogi State.

Abdulateef Suleman, a personal Assistant to Kogi Governor, Yahaya Bello is also suspected to have died of the scourge at the age of 41.

In as much as the Kogi State government continues to deny any trace of covid19 within its borders, sick and suspected covid19 patients troupe to Abuja and neighbouring states to get treatment.

Suleman died while still on a ventilator at a private hospital in Abuja. Unfortunately, the governor’s Chief Press Secretary in a statement monitored by the ICIR, said he died of cardiac arrest.

Nevertheless, the death of the Chief Judge Ajanah has been confirmed by Cable News today, 28th June.

Born 1956, he studied Law at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. In his Law practice, he served as a solicitor of the Supreme Court.

The Kogi Chief Judge was also Chairman, Kabba Disturbances Tribunal (1994); Chairman, Elections Petitions Tribunal in Admamwa State (1998); Member, Governing Council of the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (1999 – 2006); Chairman, Electins Petitions Tribunal, Akwa Ibom State and Rivers State in 2007 and 2008 respectively.

Reliable sources say his remains will be laid to rest today, 28th June.
