Kogi Lawmaker, John Abah is Dead

Kogi Lawmaker representing Ibaji Constituency, John Abah is dead.

The legislator who was also the Deputy Majority Leader in the House of Assembly died on Tuesday, 23rd June at a private hospital. Cause of death is not yet known.

The governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Onogwu Muhammed, expressed shock and sadness over the lawmaker’s death.

Bello, described John Abah as a seasoned lawmaker whose contributions to the overall development of his constituency through people oriented bills cannot be forgotten in a hurry.

The governor commiserated with the members of the house of assembly, speaker of the House and the family of the deceased legislator.

He prayed God to give the family and everyone whose life he touched the fortitude to bear the loss. Bello also prayed God to grant his soul eternal rest.

Kogi is the state with the lowest number of COVID19 cases. This is mainly due  to the fact that the state government has vehemently rejected testing for the disease. It currently has only 3 confirmed cases of the killer disease since the breakout of the pandemic in Nigeria.

Nevertheless, it is not certain what ailment the lawmaker died from.
