The former governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) presidential candidate in the 2023 presidential election has condemned the brutal killing of Northern Nigerian travelers in Edo State.
The attack, which occurred in Udune Efandion community in Uromi, Edo State, on March 27, 2025, has caused widespread outrage.

In a statement posted on his social media pages, Kwankwaso described the attack as a “harrowing display of mob injustice and a sad reminder of the barbarity of jungle justice.”
He stated that all Nigerians should have the right to travel freely throughout the country without facing harassment or intimidation.
It is general perception that the citizens all over the country must be able to move about without intimidation or harassment,” he said.
Kwankwaso called upon the relevant authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident and ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice.
“I appeal to the relevant authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into this tragic accident and prosecute the offenders,” he said.
