Dr Alex Otti, the only Labour Party Governor-elect has been sworn in as the new governor of Abia state.
Otti took his oath of office at midday during his inauguration held at the Umuahia Township Stadium.
He was sworn in by the Abia Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Lilian Abai, with Otti ‘s deputy, Ikechi Valentine Emetu present.
Peter Obi was represented by the vice presidential candidate, Yusuf Baba Ahmed.
