The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Saturday confirmed that 423 National Assembly seats have been confirmed from the February 25 election.

The Commission added that supplementary elections will be held in 46 constituencies where results are yet to be declared.

The electoral umpire gave the update in a breakdown of results from last Saturday’s National Assembly elections.

According to the INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, 98 out of 109 senate seats have been declared while in the house of representatives, 325 out of 360 seats have been decided.

The breakdown of results so far declared shows that the Labour Party (LP) won a total of 6 seats in the Senate 42 in the House of Representatives.

The INEC Chairman disclosed that certificates of return will be presented to senators-elect on Tuesday at the national collation centre, Abuja, while members of the house of representatives-elect will receive theirs on Wednesday.
