Labour Party Takes Delta Away from PDP Vice Presidential Candidate and State Governor

Peter Obi has grabbed Delta State from the grips of the PDP Vice presidential candidate and incumbent Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa.

Labour Party was declared winner of the presidential election held in Delta state by the Independent National Election Commission.

Delta Collation Officer, Professor Owunari Georgewill, Vice Chancellor, said Obi scored 341,866 while his closest rival the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled 161,600. The APC was placed third with 90,183 votes.

The Labour Party triumphed in eighteen local government areas including Isoko North, Isoko South, Warri South, Udu, Ughelli North, Uvwie, Okpe, Ndokwa West, Oshimili South, Sapele and Ndokwa East LGA’s.

Others are Ukwuani, Aniocha South, Ethiope East, Oshimili North, Ethiope West, Aniocha North and Ika South LGA’s.
