A lady nurse, model and dancer based in Netherlands has died in a car crashafter returning to her country, Uganda in order to pay a surprise visit to her family.
Doreen Angee had planned to see her family members she had not seen in over ten years before the tragedy struck.
25-year-old Doreen left the Netherlands for Uganda on December 21 but got involved in a car accident along Gulu-Kampala Highway on December 23.
The CEO of JNC Entertainment succumbed to internal injuries at Gulu Regional Referral Hospital without meeting her family.
According to local media, Doreen started her journey from the Netherlands on December 21, aboard Qatar Airline to Dubai.
She arrived Uganda on December 22, and on 23, she left Kampala for her hometown, Gulu accompanied by four friends and a driver.
On their way to Gulu, their car had a head-on collision with a trailer in Koro along Gulu-Kampala Highway.
She was later rushed to Gulu Referral Hospital where she died on Thursday morning, December 23. The doctor confirmed that she died of blood clotting.
Her death has left family members, colleagues and friends in shock. Many have taken to social media to mourn her.

We lost Doreen Angee in a road accident which occurred while she was on her holiday in Uganda. Doreen a friend to many left the Netherlands for Uganda on the 21st of December 2021 to give a surprise visit to her family whom she had not seen in over 10 years. She died at the age of 25 years at Gulu referral hospital where she was rushed for emergency attention but unfortunately didn’t make it.
Doreen was a nurse, a model and a dancer with her own music label supporting the music business in northern Uganda. Painfully Doreen was robbed of life before she could even see her family members back in Uganda.
Plans are ongoing for her send off in Gulu Uganda, a gofundme (link attached) was created to help generate support towards her decent send off and to help her sister travel to attend her funeral in Uganda.
