A lady is left stranded after a POS operator paid her child dyed old 1,000 Naira notes instead of the newly designed ones.
This is as new naira scarcity continues across the country.
Reports say that the POS operator was trying to pass it off as the new notes.
In a video shared online, the lady is heard telling the customer to take his child who brought the money and return to the POS operator who issued the old dyed notes.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has stopped the use of old notes as legal tenders. Sadly, the new notes which are acceptable legal tenders are not available.
This also comes as the CBN insists it has pushed out a substantial amount for transactions.
