A young lady (name withheld for safety reasons) has revealed that she could have been the one m*rdered by singer, Timileyin Ajayi instead of Salome.
The woman said she declined multiple invitations and pressures from Ajayi days before the alleged m*rder.
Speaking to TVC, she recounted the chilling possibility of her being a victim: “If I had followed him home on Friday or Saturday, I could have been the victim. Because he was actually disturbing me, and even in the afternoon when I’m working, he would tell me to come and that he wants to order something.”
The lady further described Timi’s persistent attempts to lure her to his house: “He would be like, ‘Will you come to my house today? I really need to see you.’ But I was like, ‘Why am I coming to your house? I’m not your girlfriend, and I don’t know you from anywhere.'”
She noted the unusual behavior on the day of the alleged crime: “On Saturday, his mood was different. You know when someone is planning something, the person wouldn’t be happy at all. Timi can stay in the resort from morning till night, but that day he came to the resort in the afternoon, and he was even sleeping. Timi doesn’t usually sleep, but Timi slept that day, and he was very moody. He didn’t talk to anybody at all.”
The young lady also disputed media reports identifying the suspect as a gospel singer, stating that he was known locally only as someone who enjoyed singing. Timilehin Ajayi has been remanded at a Correctional Facility by a Nasarawa State High Court while awaiting trial for Adaidu’s death.
