Some members of the Lagos State House of Assembly have paid a visit to the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in London.
This comes after the party leader was visited by the State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and President Muhammadu Buhari, also paid him a visit.
The delegation was led by the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon Mudasiru Obasa.
Obasa confirmed that the former Governor was hale and hearty throughout their stay as they held light-hearted discussions as well as issues bordering on the state of the nation.
The Speaker added that the visit became necessary in view of the elder statesman’s position as a leader in the country, a mentor and a benefactor to many Nigerians.
According to Obasa,
“Asiwaju remains amazingly passionate about Nigeria. He is hale and hearty.
We had a lengthy discussion about developments in the country, he was in high spirits, cheery, witty as usual and remains optimistic about the progress of the country,” Obasa said.
Among the lawmakers who visited Asiwaju Tinubu are: Hon Temitope Adele, His Nureni Akinsanya, Hon Sylvester Ogunkelu,
Reports say that the former Lagos State governor underwent a series of knee surgeries in the US but returned to London to recuperate.
