Hundreds of Lagosians said to be the city’s poor and hungry, on Saturday, stormed the Bourdillon Road, residence of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to seek assistance for handouts for the Christmas.
In a viral video, the supporters of the APC flagbearer were seen queuing in front of his residence to receive their Christmas handouts from him, while others stood around hungry and helpless.
However, men of the Nigeria Police Force were on hand to guide the visitors and direct traffic around the area.
Expectedly, members of the public have expressed sadness over the development, saying that the elites have weaponised poverty and continue to prey on the poor.
