Lagos State Government on Saturday announced that it will shut down the popular 3rd Mainland Bridge tomorrow, Sunday April 2.
The state Commissioner for Transportation, Dr. Frederick Oladeinde, in a statement on Saturday, said the closure was for repairs on some identified failed/peeled asphaltic sections of the bridge to hold.
According to him, traffic diversion plans for the rehabilitation process which is slated to hold between 9 am and 4 pm has been out in place.
It was gathered that the rehabilitation would be done by the Lagos State Public Works Corporation tomorrow.
The commissioner for Transportation advanced that traffic would be diverted from one lane to another lane at the identified failed asphaltic sections of the bridge.
