An excited Lagosian who took a bicycle ride as repairs were ongoing on the Third Mainland Bridge has been accosted by bribe-seeking police officers.
The yet to be identified rider showed off the quality of work as he rode with a group of friends.
He hailed the new look of the bridge urging motorists to “look at how smooth it is.”
For him, “Lagos is so beautiful !”
The same Lagosian took another ride on the Ikoyi Link Bridge but his fun sport was interrupted by a group of police officers who demanded his permit to take drone videos of the route.
The gun wielding officers insisted that he follow them to their office to explain his mission or visit the Lekki Conservation Center to obtain the permit.
While at it, they confiscated his drone but unknown to them, he had a hidden camera that captured the encounter.
The officers delayed him for no less than 2 hours, forcing him to bribe them after rough handling and damaging his drone.
He regretted that he had to suffer loss for a job he was not even paid for.
