Indeed, Lagosians no dey shaa hear word ! The Lagos State Task Force and State Safety Commission have sealed up the popular Eko Club.

As was the case with the equally Popular Queens Park Lekki, the Eko Club event centre in Surulere held a party with a full house.

Invitees flagrantly huddled together eating, chatting and drinking together at the funeral event.

The scene at the club was a total breach of the #COVID19 safety protocols and state government order on social events.

Gboyega Akosile Chief Press Secretary to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu made the announcement this evening in his confirmed twitter handle:

The second wave of covid19 is currently wrecking havoc across the state with isolation and treatment centres already overwhelmed.

Some of the treatment centres describe the current wave as a tsunami of sorts as doctors battle with the heartbreaking decision of who to attend to and who to let go.

Ventilators are in short supply resulting in high death rates and leaving some of health workers deeply depressed and suicidal.

Many prominent Lagosians have sadly, lost their lives the disease.

Popular comedian, Ali Baba spoke in very strong terms to those still doubting the dangers associated with doubting the existence of covid19:

Besides Eko Club, some other even centres and night clubs have been sealed for flouting the rules.

A number of arrests were also made.
