Students of the Lagos State University (LASU) today, gave their pledge to join Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the State Governor in the planned ‘Walk For Peace.’
The students gave the pledge when he visited their school to commission a recently built students arcade in their campus at Ojo.
The arcade is said to be the largest student union building in any Nigerian university.
Comrade Oladipupo Uthman Badmus, President of the student union and the Speaker of the union representatives, Rt Hon Mustapha Adejuwon led hundreds of the students to welcome the number 1 citizen.
The student leaders announced that the entire student body will join the governor to ensure peace and prosperity in the state.
Besides the commissioning of the arcade, Sanwo-Olu donated 2 big buses and study equipment for the use of the students.
They chanted heartily with the Governor after the commissioning.

Giving an update on his visit, jidesanwoolu said,
“I commissioned the newly built Students Arcade at the Lagos State University (LASU) in Ojo.
“The LASU students Arcade is the largest Student Union Building in any Nigerian tertiary institution, and we will continue to ensure that maintenance and sustenance will never be an issue.
“In the same vein, I donated two buses to boost the movement and ease the transportation of the LASU Students Union.“
