A video has emerged showing late Senator Abiola Ajimobi’s eye-popping Gold, silver and marble built graveyard has emerged.
The grave also has white rose flower finishings. There were also lavish white rose flowers planted on and around the grave. An insider said that the lights, air conditioners and fans in the mausoleum are permanently switched on.
The mausoleum is resplendent of opulence and has stirred massive reactions among Nigerians on the bird app, Twitter.
Many ask how so much top grade gold and silver could be lavishly spent to construct the graveyard of the dead when may of the people he led as governor and senator are wallowing in abject poverty.
The former Governor of Oyo State contracted the dreaded #COVID19 in the middle of 2020. He quickly slipped into a coma on the 19th of June and was admitted into First Cardiologist and Cardiovascular Consultants Hospital in Lagos.
Ajimobi lived on life support for close to 2 weeks weeks until his death on the 25th of June.
The video of the graveyard shows the interior design, complete with air-condition, lighting and top of the range oriental furniture.
The video first surfaced on the handle of twitter user, @ayemojubar with the caption, “Late Abiola Ajimobi’s Graveyard!”
Some social media users insist that they see no reason why so much money should be spent on beautifying a grave housing a lifeless body.
Others made mockery of the whole idea and put up funny videos and memes to express their misgivings.
One particular twitter user said that the oriental furniture was meant to welcome angels and some fellow deceased high and mighty politicians like Abba Kyari who died in similar circumstances.
