Late Akunyili’s daughter, Chidiogo Akunyili Parr and husband, Andrew Parr have welcomed their first child.
She made the announcement in a video on her official instagram page where she showed a glimpse of the child.
The baby girl who has been named Nneora Akunyili Parr arrived in August.
Chidiogo also announced the arrival of the preview copy of a book she recently wrote, titled ‘I am because we are.’ She used the occasion to request that people pre-order copies.
For the new mother, who considers the arrivals of both the baby and her new book some of August blessings, she sent her love.
It was also an occasion to advise her fans to take solace in the fact “that everything good takes time.”

Chidiogo’s mother, Dora Nkem Akunyili OFR (14 July, 1954 – 2014) was the director-general of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control(NAFDAC).
She fought fake drugs and the dealers with every breath in her at the risk of her life.
