“Lean on Me” singer, Bill Withers is dead.
The singer and song-writer died on Monday in Los Angeles from a heart disease according to family sources.
Born in 1938, most of his hits dominated the airwaves for decades especially between 1970 and 1985. Among his other popular sound tracks are: “Ain’t No Sunshine“, “Use Me“, “Just the Two of Us“, “Lovely Day“, and “Grandma’s Hands“.
“Lean on Me” peaked again in the last 1 month as the world grapples with the deadly coronavirus disease. The song speaks to the heaviness in the atmosphere and the worlds effort to hang on to one another and find strenght and comfort.”
