Femi Adesina, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President has advised Nigerians to be thankful that we have only 2 to 3 bombings by terrorists per week.
According to him, there was a time in the immediate past when the bombings “happened daily, several times.”
Speaking on a television show this morning the Presidential Spokesman told the interviewer that there was a time when the bombings happened daily, several times.
“You talked of one bombing within this 3 or 4 days, there was a time in this country when bombs went off like fire crackers everyday.
“There could be 5, 6 bombings in one day. Now you can have 2, 3 months with no single case of bombing. “
Femi Adesina advised that we should be thankful for small mercies. He added that Nigerians “must not dwell on negatives alone. Life is taking the rough and the Smooth together.”
Femi Adesina said that there are times “when we go on for days and weeks with no negative development. let us emphasise those ones, not when we have 3 days, 4 days when they come together like that.”
According to him, we must not allow it appear as if that is the constant in the country.
He acknowledged that there are challenges but certainly, that is not the constant.
