President Bola Tinubu on Monday, convened a meeting where the rift between the immediate past Governor of Rivers State and the incumbent was resolved.
Senior government officials and Rivers State elders were also in attendance.
After meeting the stakeholders, some resolutions were reached to forestall a breakdown of law and order. It was also aimed at calming the growing political tension in the oil-rich state.
Among those present at the meeting which held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday, December 18, 2023 are:

– Rivers Assembly Speaker, Matins Amaewhule
– Rivers APC Caretaker Chairman, Tony Okocha
– Rivers PDP Chairman, Aaron Chukwuemeka.
