A man identified as Agga Sunday Yakub has allegedly beaten to death, his wife, Esther Anjugu over a window net.
The incident took place in the Sabon Pegi Shabu area of Nasarawa State.
The family of the 39-year old mother of four said she died on the 7th of January, 2022.
They claimed that their daughter was beaten to death during an argument with her husband over the fixing of a window net in the home.
However, some eyewitnesses told BBC that Agga Sunday Yakub did not lay his hand on his wife. They said she slumped while quarrelling over who was to fix the window net in the house.
The family of the deceased had stormed the police command in the State, demanding justice after insisting that their daughter was killed and did not die from natural causes.
The police has since arrested Yakub. They stated that plans are underway to conduct an autopsy to determine that actual cause of death of his wife.
