Man Weeps in a Market for His Inability to Buy Any Food Stuff with N2,000

A man wept bitterly in a market over his inability to buy food items for his family due to the high cost of living, especially food items.

A video trending online captured the man complaining about the government he contributed to voting into power being unable to make life easy for its citizens.

The man was filmed in front of a shop where staple food items like Rice, Beans, Garri and other staple food items were on display.

He could be heard asking for the prices of the food items. Realizing that he couldn’t afford to buy item with the money he had, he began to weep. He wailed about his inability to feed his hungry children as worked back and forth in frustration.

A market woman that watched the heartbroken man gave him some money but that could still not add up to buy anything.

The grains seller then gave him a little measure of grain for free. Still wailing, he walked away.

Many Nigerians have continued to cry out over the prevalent hardship across the country. On Monday, February 5, residents of Niger state staged a protest over the high cost of food items in the state.
