DPA Family Law Clinic led by Emeka Ugwuonye who are legal representatives to May, the ex-wife of Yul Edochie have sought redress in court against a blogger who posted a video of the businesswoman allegedly kissing a man.
The AI generated video showed May on an international flight to London kissing comedian AY.
Giving details of the lawsuit, DPA Family Law Clinic wrote on Facebook:
OUR STATEMENT ON THE VILE AND FALSE VIDEO OF MAY YUL-EDOCHIE PUBLISHED BY CHI JEANNY BLOG
Our organization continues to represent Ms. May Yul-Edochie (Queen May). This statement is to register our objection to the continued cyberstalking, cyberbullying, and concerted smear campaign against Queen May, the latest of which is the manipulated and false video of her kissing a man, as published and disseminated by Ms. Nwanneka Janye Uchechukwu Umeezeani, aka Chi Jenny, owner and operator of Chi Jeanny Blog, a Facebook page.
While it is possible to use AI technology to manipulate pictures and manufacture a video of even total strangers exchanging kisses, we object to the viral video shared by Chi Jeanny, in which Queen May’s picture was manipulated to depict her kissing a man on an airplane. Queen May finds that video vile and extremely offensive, given the peculiar facts and circumstances of the people involved in the making and sharing of such a video.
By the peculiar facts and circumstances, we refer to the following:
(1) The owner of Chi Jeanny Blog has publicly indicated that she is a relative and a friend of Ms. Uchechukwu Judith Muoghalu, aka Judy Austin.
(2) Queen May filed a lawsuit at the Lagos State High Court, legitimately seeking redress against Judy Austin for a decade-long adulterous relationship with Mr. Yul Edochie, who was married to Queen May at the material time and is now involved in a divorce petition filed by Queen May.
(3) Judy Austin has been associated with a history of hiring people to defame and smear Queen May, as alleged by Sarah Martins, a former friend and close associate of Judy Austin.
(4) For the past several months, Chi Jeanny has relentlessly spewed all manner of falsehood against Queen May and her children. She has been responsible for the most cold-hearted and insensitive fabrications of lies and mind-boggling falsehoods against Queen May.
(5) Chi Jeanny has engaged in concerted actions to bully and smear Queen May, and she has intensified her behavior despite several warnings for her to cease and desist.
(6) Chi Jeanny has tried to justify her actions by claiming that some people (other Queen May and unrelated to her) criticized Judy Austin for her adultery with Mr. Yul Edochie, and she decided to attack Queen May in totally senseless reprisal.
(7) Recently, Judy Austin publicly praised and endorsed the work of Chi Jeanny, leaving no doubt in the minds of every observer that there is a shared purpose between her and Chi Jeanny regarding the cyberbullying of Queen May.
Given these circumstances, it is obvious that the false video of Queen May being shared by Chi Jeanny is not just a joke or a curiosity over the limits of AI technology. It is a well-orchestrated smear campaign that is consistent with Chi Jeanny’s well-established motives and modus operandi. Her past activities have driven us to a point where we had no choice but to explore litigation and administrative remedies against her.
Her current resort to the use of provocative video in her continued assault on the reputation and character of Queen May is one step too far. It is clear to all that the central objective of those who collaborate with Chi Jeanny to bully Queen May is to force or redirect the outcome of the case she filed against Yul Edochie and his mistress, Judy Austin. They want to render meaningless any victory that Queen May may get through the courts. In effect, their actions are calculated to subvert the court in the pending suit.
We are making it clear today that we will not allow Chi Jeanny’s behavior to continue unchallenged. The world will be witnessing in the coming days our lawful efforts to stop this incredible lawlessness and abuse perpetrated by Chi Jeanny and those she is working with. We were inclined to ask her to stop, but having ignored previous warnings, the option of warning her may no longer be available.
