The new uniform is an indication that the cold war between the old Lagos State chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and the national arm is not going away soon.
Earlier in the year, Oluomo was suspended from his post as the State Chairman by the national body for insubordination. He immediately contested the suspension and many feared violence in the state.
However, the Lagos State Governor, a few days later, appointed MC Oluomo as the Chairman of LASPG. Nearly every member of the Lagos NURTW migrated to the new set up.
Not much has been heard of the original NURTW since the governor’s unveiling except a fracas that erupted between the the national and state bodies. The fracas was soon quelled by security agents.

Many see the rebranded Lagos NURTW (now migrated to LASPG) as being manipulated by powerful state entities.
According to T Kay Oseleye: “Lagos is in slavery The Chairman, Lagos State Park and Garages Management, Musiliu Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo, has unveiled the new uniform for his members. So this is what tinubu wants to do for nigeria”
However, MC Oluomo is upbeat about the new look of himself and his men as he posted the update on his twitter handle.
Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya @kingmcoluomo said: “LASPGM Chairman Unveils New Uniform, Rebrands Face of Parks and Garages In his efforts to give new face to parks and garages, the Lagos State Parks and Garages Chairman, Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, popularly called MC Oluomo has unveiled new uniform for the state’s drivers.’
