A mentally challenged woman has given birth to a baby boy at Ayileka Street, Odo-Ona Apata in Ido Local Government Area of Oyo State.
The lady, who identified herself as Lara is said to be between 25 and 30 years.
She delivered the baby in an uncompleted building on Sunday, around 3:00pm at Ayileka street, behind Bova’s Petrol Station, Odo-Ona Apata.
News hunters who spoke with her said the woman, was not coherent in her speech.
The incident was however, reported at Odo Ona Apata Police Station, while the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare had also been contacted.
The ministry, in collaboration with security operatives moved the mother and the child to a private hospital where they are said to be doing well.
