A young young female corps member identified as Chioma Eunice Igweike, who was allegedly kidnapped while travelling has been found dead with vital parts of her body missing.
Details of the incident are still sketchy at the time of filing this report but it was gathered that the deceased was a prospective member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) who left her house on Wednesday, July, 20, 2022, for the 3-week orientation course at the Ogun State NYSC camp.
Friends and former coursemates say that Chioma was kidnapped and killed by suspected ritualists.
They have taken to Facebook to mourn the Federal Polytechnic Oko graduate, with some of them calling for the scraping of the scheme.

Goci King: “So this is how I’ll never see Eunice Igweike Chioma . A girl who will stop me on the road to know my welfare. She’ll always ask of my step brother.
Nigeria and her govt has failed us“
Precious Ihunanya Ukeje: “The picture attached represents questions in the minds of many Nigerians: is the National Youth Service Corps still relevant?
“At this time last year, the 2019 class of History and International Studies of the University of Uyo, Nigeria, mourned the demise of Coleman Ezurike, a vibrant young man who lost his life in an accident en route NYSC camp.
“A year after, the 2011 class of Iheorji Secondary School mourn Eunice Chioma Igweike, whose picture is attached, reportedly abducted en route NYSC camp and was later found dead.
“Their demise was caused by different “bullets,” one may say, but one ground factor.
“With the rising insecurity and carefree attitude of the ruling class, is it okay to continue to risk the lives of thousands of Nigerians in their prime via this scheme?
“Hard to say but REST IN PEACE Eunice Chioma Igweike.
“May God come through for this nation.“
Ike Sunday Chinedu, a former neighbour: “TRIBUTE TO MY NEIGHBOR Hearing the news of your death should be included Among one of the best shocks of my life, being admitted into the HND programme at federal polytechnic oko,you personally gave me and my friend lodge of which you happens to be an occupant of the lodge as well.fortunately for me,u happens to be my neighbor,we joked together, vibes together, gosh!!!!!!!!!.I can remember the stress we went through in school before graduation.the quizzes, assignments, examinations etc.
