Human Rights activist and Co-converner, ‘Bring Back Our Girls,’ Aisha Yesufu, has berated the former Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo over his comment on the Anambra State student, Mmesoma Ejikeme, who admitted to forging her 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results.
Keyamo noted that he refrained from making any comment while investigations into the matter lasted.
The former minister also described the case as unfortunate and said Mmesoma should not be condemned by Nigerians but be encouraged to tender an apology to JAMB, her parents, and the nation.
He added that notwithstanding the forgery, the student should be forgiven and allowed to go to the university of her choice since she scored a high enough mark to be admitted.
Reacting to the senior lawyer’s take, Aisha said that Keyamo’s principal, Bola Tinubu fraudulently occupying the highest position in the country through forgery and rigging is the most unfortunate.
She said the former Lagos State governor has given room for children to say that if he (Tinubu) can do it, they can also engage in forgery.
Aisha added that Nigerians must focus on the judiciary to do the needful in the ongoing case of Tinubu’s victory being challenged at the Election Petition Tribunal.
She tweeted: “Tinubu fraudulently occupying the highest political office in the land through forgery and rigging is what is most unfortunate and has given room for more children to say if Tinubu can do it why not they.
“Reason Nigerians must focus on the judiciary to do the needful”
