Moment Customs Officer Slapped Governor Okowa’s Special Aide (video)

A Video Has Emerged on social media showing the moment a uniformed officer in the company of other operatives of the Nigerian Army and Nigerian Customs slapped an aide to Delta State Governor,  Ifeanyi Okowa.

The video of the assault was shared on Twitter by Human Rights Activist and Director-General Behind Bars, Harrison Gwamnishu.

The victim, Samson Nwachuckwu is confirmed to be a human rights volunteer and Special Assistant to Delta State Governor.

Details of events leading to the altercation between the law enforcement agents and Samson are not yet known. However, the video showed the two parties exchanging words and suddenly a slap landed on the face of the Governor’s aide.

The incident which reportedly happened on Sunday afternoon has caused stirs in the Delta community of Agbor, the part of the State where Governor Okowa hails from.

Samson as reported by Gwamnishu was assaulted along the Benin-Agbor Expressway.

From the video clip, the victim did not retaliate either physically or verbally but has lodged a formal complaint to higher authorities.

Gwamnishu has since lamented the treatment of his colleague by the uniformed officers.
