The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi could not hold back his tears during Thursday’s press conference.
The candidate adjudged to have won the just concluded election got teary while lamenting the situation of Nigeria’s youths and and how the economy is affecting the citizens of the country.
The former Anambra State Governor narrated his encounter with a jobless female Nigerian graduate who could not secure a job or purchase a N75,000 oven to start a baking business.
The story got the former Governor of Anambra State so emotional to the extent of being unable to hold back his tears.
Overtaken by emotions, the Labour Party candidate lamented that the lady’s situation is a typical example of what is happening to many Nigerians.
The incident occurred when he was addressing a world press conference on the outcome of the election.
During the press conference, Obi said that Nigerians were robbed during the just-concluded presidential election.
He vowed to use legal means to reclaim his mandate.
Obi told his supporters to “Be rest assured that I and my running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed will not rest.”
The presidential candidate said he and his running mate remain undaunted and committed to the project of a new Nigeria.
“If you must answer his excellency, the process by which you arrived at the office must be excellent,” he said.
He promised Nigerians that he will do everything to prove to Nigerians that “we won the election.”
