Besides the queer fashion statement of Kashim Shettima, the vice presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), at the Nigeria Bar Associations (NBA) Conference, Peter Obi is also trending on the internet for clapping for Shettima and unconsciously ‘endorsing’ Atiku.
The outfit of the former Governor of Borno State has been trending since the kickoff of the lawyers’ meeting on Monday.
The buzz on social media resulted in what twitter tagged as the #ShettimaChallenge where people dressed in funny looking suits with drooping ties and gym shoes.
Peter Obi was apparently not distracted by the odd outfit of Shettima but was seen clapping for him the moment the latter made an impressive remark while making his speech around his plans for Nigeria.
In his speech, the former governor of Borno also promised to leave a good leadership legacy for other nations of African to follow.
His statement obviously caught the attention of Peter Obi, who acknowledged the ingenuity of the APC vice presidential candidate.
Equally noticed was the moment Peter Obi rose to give his own speech using a popular slogan of the members and supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
Reno Omokri, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party Campaign Committee used the occasion to praise Obi’s good sportsmanship.
In his unique way of campaigning, Omokri highlighted the fact that the candidate of the Labour Party unconsciously endorsed his principal, Atiku Abubakar.
The word ‘Atikulated’, like Tinubu’s ‘Emi Lokan’ appears to be creeping in to the political dictionary of the country ahead of the 2023 elections.
The Labour Party presidential candidate said during his speech that “If you are Obedient, you need to have a visionary, articulated, competent leadership.”
It is not yet certain if the audio was doctored but the statement did not go unnoticed.
