A Monday morning petrol tanker explosion is reported to have killed three people in Benue State.
The accident happened at Amoke village in Apa Local Government Area of the state.
Reports say the explosion occurred when the tanker fully loaded with premium motor spirit also known as petrol went up in flames.
At eyewitness at the accident scene, Godfrey Idede confirmed the incident to newsmen saying that the number of casualties recorded could not be confirmed yet.
On his part, the Corps Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) in Benue State, Yakubu Mohammed said that only 3 people were killed.
He attributed the accident to break failure and added that besides the three victims, no injury was recorded.
Mohammed disclosed that the fire was put out within hours even if if there was no fire station within the vicinity.
