Gunmen today, stormed another Abuja family and kidnapped a 45-year-old mother and 2 of her daughters at Pegi community in the Kuje council area.
Mrs Oladapo Bukola and her daughters, Moyo Oladapo, 17 and Glory Oladapo, 14 were abducted at about 1:04am today, September 5.
Reports say that her husband, Pastor Gabriel Oadapo was not in town when the incident occurred.
The latest kidnapping comes after a father and son, Abdullahi Benda and his 23-year-old-son, Jibrin Abdullahi Benda were kidnapped at Yangogi village, in Kwali Area council of Abuja.
Speaking with Daily Trust, a man identified as Abednego said that the invaders arrived a resettlement area in Zone A with AK-47 rifles scaled the fence of their victims’ house and forced the door open.
The chairman of Pegi Community Association (PECDA), Mr Taiwo Aderibigbe confirmed the kidnapping of the mother with her 2 daughters and lamented the incessant abductions across the country.
He called on security agencies to rescue the victims and ensure an improvement in the security situation in the country.
According to him, I”t is worrisome that Pegi, Kuje is being targeted by kidnappers and security agencies are not doing much.”
On their part, the FCT Police Command through ASP Daniel Y Ndiparya confirmed the incident saying that efforts were ongoing to rescue the victims.
“Efforts are being made by the command to ensure the victims are rescued,” he said.
