A mountain moulded with 90% raw gold has been discovered by villagers in Goma, Congo.

The villagers kept the location secret for a number of days while they came in droves with bags and large basins to dig the precious metal up.

When they rinse off the dust, all they see is pure, raw, shiny gold. While came they made several trips to the site and back with their cache for several days, government finally got wind of it.

Reports say the authorities have now deployed security operatives to the mountain.

Fears are rife that government may take over the mountain, shut the villagers off, clamp down on local owners of the territory and mine it for the authorities.
