Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, wife of the immediate past governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano has picked the expression of interest forms for the 2023 Anambra Senatorial race.
This comes as her husband is being grilled over the misappropriation of state funds by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Mrs Obiano intends to contest under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) As a result, on Tuesday she collected the Expression of Interest and Nomination forms to contest the 2023 Anambra North Senatorial District.
The ceremony which took place same day, was observed by party members and supporters while her husband was conspicuously absent.

Mrs Ebele Obiano was recently in the news for insulting Bianca, the wife of late Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, Igbo respected war lord and Biafran leader.
The insult resulted in Mrs Ojukwu doling her 2 slaps to get her out of her face. According to Amb Ojukwu, Mrs Obiano was reeking of alcohol and threatened to, in addition to her insults, knock off her headgear.
For Bianca, it was an abomination to remove the headgear of a woman of her standing.
The incident occurred during the inauguration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo in a low-key ceremony in Awka, Anambra State capital.
Mrs Obiano recently apologised to State Governor Soludo but not to Mrs Ojukwu.
