A former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Kingsley Muoghalu has sparked reactions after his defeat at the Presidential primary election of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
He was defeated by a less known media entrepreneur, Dumebi Kachikwu during the election held on Wednesday by the party.
Kachikwu defeated Moghalu with a total vote of 977 against Moghalu’s 589 votes.
Chukwuka Monye came third with 339 votes at the primary exercise held in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
After the result was announced, Nigerians took to social media to express their views especially considering that an aspirant who is hardly known clinch such an exalted ticket.
EFERTITI At the foundation of Leadership Selection quagmire in Nigeria, is the Delegates System. A little known Dumebi Kachikwu, beat Kingsley Moghalu & Chukwuka Monye to emerge as ADC’s Presidential flagbearer. Delegates System will continue to keep out the competent. Abolish it, NOW!!!
Kingsley Moghalu & Chukwuka Monye fought gallantly, but the Delegates System kept them out. They’re both solid heads & eminently qualified. I use this medium to urge both intellectuals to join the Labour Party. With their support, Peter Obi Movement will gain two noble knights
sea monster I was low key rooting for Chukwuka Monye. Man smells of credibility and total honesty. But Nigeria politics $$$ allegedly happened. Hoping these character of men (Chukwuka Monye & Kingsley Moghalu) will back Peter Obi.
