Musa Kwankwanso, the father of former Kano State Governor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwanso is dead.
The Principal Private Secretary to the former Governor, Mohammed Inna Ali announced the elder statesman’s demise this morning, 25th December.
The 93 year old died in the early hours of the day.
Ali added that funeral prayers will conducted by 3:00pm today at the residence of the former Governor in Bompai, Kano metropolis.
An excerpt of the statement:
“It is with a heavy heart and reverence to Allah (SWT) that we announce the passing away of our father, Alhaji Must Sale Kwankwanso, the Majidadin Kano/Makaman Karaye at the age of 93 in the early hours of the morning, Friday 25th December, 2020 in Kano.
“The late Makaman Karaye Alhaji Musa Saleh Kwankwanso was the father to late Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwanso the former Governor of Kano State.
“He left behind two wives, 19 children (9 male & 10 female) and many grandchildren.
“The burial rites will be held at 3pm on Friday 25th December, 2020 at the Miller Road, Bompai, Kano.
“Due to the security alert as raised by security agencies, the family is urging sympathisers especially those from other state not to travel for the funeral rites.
“It is our hope you pray for the repose of the soul of our late father from your home state.”
Late Musa Kwankwanso was a village head before being elevated to district head of Madobi Local Government Area and later Majidadin Kano by the late Emir of Kano, Ado Bayero.
