Popular Yoruba genre actress, Mercy Aigbe has insisted that her husband, Adeoti Kazim is entitled to marry more than 1 wife as a Muslim.
The Edo-born mother of 2 stated this in a telephone interview with show host, Morayo Afolabi-Brown of TVC.
Afolabi-Brown said that the actress tried calling in a number of times but the network was bad. She then sent a message saying that:
“I just want to clear the impression, Adekaz isn’t Lanre Gentry’s friend.”
The TV host told viewers that she spoke to Mercy the day before. According to her, “I spoke to her (Mercy) last night, she called me to correct an impression and that it is wrong for us to say, ‘how can she go and marry her husband’s best friend ?’ She said they were never friends.
“They only attended an event where her present husband, a marketer in the industry, invited her to his birthday party, which she attended in her ex-husband’s company.
“She told me that the man is a Muslim, he’s entitled to more than 1 wife, so yes, he has issues with the first wife, and he is now married to her as the second wife and as a second wife, doesn’t she deserve to be happy ?”
Kazim’s wife currently resides in Minnesota, the United States and has 4 children with Kazim Adeoti.
He is Mercy’s 3rd husband while he is in his 2nd marriage.
