‘My Life is Worth More than Money ‘ – Kidnapped Jonathan’s Cousin Cries from Dire Captivity

The abducted former Commissioner for Special Duties in charge of Federal Projects in Bayelsa State, Mike Ogiasa, has cried out for help in the captivity of his kidnappers.

Ogiasa, who is said to be a cousin of former President Goodluck Jonathan, and was kidnapped by unknown gunmen on Thursday, June 2.

Mike was abducted at Otuogidi in the Ogbia Local Government Area of the state on Thursday, June 2.

He was whisked away by about eight gunmen, after holding an official meeting.

The Special Adviser on Power to the Bayelsa State Government is the son of a former traditional ruler of Otuoke community.

His abduction was confirmed in June by the Police Public Relations Officer, Bayelsa State Command, SP Asinim Butswat.

In a video posted on Twitter by a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain and journalists, Jackson Ude, Ogiaso is overheard pleading with everyone to help him.

The former Commissioner, who was placed in a shallow grave, stated that his life was worth more than the money the kidnappers were demanding for.
