Nigeria’s national power grid has once again, collapsed. This Saturday, 19th October incident, is the 3rd time the general power system will crash in just one week.
The power generation went off this morning around 8:16am.
This week, the grid shut down on Monday and less than 24 hours after it was restored, it went off again on Tuesday.
Checks today showed that power generation was 3,042 megawatts at 8:00am and peaked at 3,968MW at 7:00am.
Allocation to power distribution companies stood at 0.00MW at the time of filing this report.
The cause of the collapse could not be ascertained at the moment as the Transmission Company of Nigeria could not be reached.
