The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has marked 6 residential houses and 1 plaza linked to the suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Abba Kyari for investigation.
The properties are said to be located in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.
One of the properties, a 2-storey shopping plaza, Assurance Plaza, is located along the Giwa Barracks Road in Maiduguri.
It was gathered that six houses located within the Maiduguri New Government Residential Area allegedly belong to Kyari.
All the properties are included in the ongoing case filed against the former leader of the IGP Intelligence Response Team (IRT).
The buildings were marked for investigation a few hours after NDLEA arrested a billionaire businessman linked to the ₦3billion worth of tramadol intercepted by Kyari’s men in Lagos State.
The drugs were said to have been compromised by the Intelligence Response Team headed by Abba Kyari.
Earlier in the week, Hettysmedia reported that the NDLEA arrested a billionaire who is said to be baron behind the drugs.
Chief Afam Ukatu was apprehended at the Murtala Mohammed terminal in Ikeja after months of surveillance and evading arrest.
