The police in Ajuwon, Ogun State have received the report of the kidnap of 3 children by new tenants who reportedly rented an apartment in their compound.
The 2 women kidnappers in their 30s moved together into a one-room apartment in the compound located at Itsekiri Street.
An eyewitness stated that they claimed to be students in a school in Ikeja, Lagos and they would be staying in the apartment for 3weeks.
The new tenants acted very friendly and warmed themselves to the hearts of all covenants in the compound.
The suspects left with the 3 children on the pretext that they were visiting a shop in the neighborhood with them.
The case has been reported to the Ajuwon police station.
Confirming the incident, the state police spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi said that the case was under investigation.
“We heard about it. The case is under investigation. The kidnappers came to rent an apartment in that building. They recently packed into that place and other occupants of the house never knew that they had a game plan.
“Since they came into the house, they started playing with all these children, showing signs of a good neighbour. The parents relaxed thinking that are good people, not until they ran away with about three kids from that place.”
