The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) reveals it has commenced an investigation into the authenticity of the passport issued to Nwamini David.

The young man, who claimed to be 15, is alleged to have been trafficked to the United Kingdom for organ harvesting by a former Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice.

Mrs Ekweremadu is however, reported to be a medical doctor.

The acting Comptroller-General of Immigration, Idris Jere told The PUNCH on Saturday that the NIS is probing allegations that the travel document may have been fradulently procured.

Jere said the service is investigating the passport and would soon make its findings known to the public.

In his words, “We are investigating the passport and the issues surrounding it. We will come out with our findings soon,” Jere stated

The trending picture of David’s passport indicates that he was born on October 12, 2000.

The information shows he is 21 contrary to the the British prosecutor’s Friday claim that he is a 15-year-old child.

The international travel passport with number B00569974 was issued in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, on November 5, 2021 and would expire on November 4, 2026.
