The Nigerian woman that was put up for sale in Lebanon has been rescued by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
She is currently in the custody of the Nigerian Embassy in Beirut.
The Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri Erewa made the disclosure today on her Twitter handle. She also thanked the Nigerian with Twitter handle, @cbngov_akin1 for bringing the incident to the attention of her office.

The Commission also carried the same announcement with the video of the Nigeria woman, Peace Busari Ufuoma.
Speaking during an interview filmed by the Embassy of Nigeria in Beirut, Ufuoma said she was put up for sale because her master could no longer pay her salary.
Nigerians and in particular , @cbngov_akin1 have expressed their appreciation to the Commission and Dabiri-Erewa for swiftly swinging into action to ensure that the Nigerian woman on sale is rescued speedily.
Confirmed reports also say that her seller, Wael Jerro has been arrested by the Lebanese government as at the 23rd of March and will be charged to court in Lebanon.
